EV-friendly trips
Can an EV make it?
Curated trips graded honestly. We hand-check every featured route against four criteria: no leg over 250 miles, fast charging at both ends, L2 charging at overnight hotels, and a backup charger within 30 miles of every primary stop. Then we give it a verdict: EV-APPROVED, EV-CAPABLE, or EV-HOSTILE. No marketing spin — when a trip isn't ready for EVs yet, we say so.
Any modern EV with 250+ mi real-world range can do this trip confidently
Doable but needs 300+ mi range or careful planning. Read the warnings.
Don't try this in an EV yet. Charging infrastructure isn't there.

How we grade trips
Every trip on this page is hand-checked, not auto-generated. We verify:
- · No leg over 250 miles between fast chargers. 250 miles is the threshold most modern EVs can hit comfortably under highway speeds with climate control running.
- · Fast charging within 30 miles of every overnight anchor. So a charger failure at your hotel doesn't strand you.
- · L2 charging at recommended hotels. Overnight L2 = wake up full. Verified on each hotel's current property page within the last 6 months.
- · Backup charger within 30 miles of every primary stop. Because hotel chargers fail and you need a Plan B.
- · "Last verified" date on every trip. Charging infrastructure changes. We re-check trips quarterly and update verdicts.
Our quiz factors in your actual driving — daily commute, weekend trips, big road trips — and tells you honestly whether the EV would work or stress you out.
